Wing
The
Permian Basin Petroleum Museum, located in Midland TX,
has asked One + Two to develop visitor experiences for
its new Transportation Wing. The story of Jim Hall and
Chaparral Racing becomes the vehicle for an exploration
of the central importance of petroleum and technology
in transportation. The exhibit makes use of interactive
displays, a working racing garage, audiovisual presentations,
and an awe-inspiring collection of Chaparral cars and
other artifacts to create a thrilling exploration of
the people and the innovative technologies that made
Chaparral Racing one of the great stories in auto racing
history.
